Beam Mobility signs MOU with Konkuk University Student Welfare Committee

Beam Mobility announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Konkuk University Student Welfare Committee on the operation of electric scooter sharing service at Konkuk University's Seoul campus.

Beam Mobility will provide special rates to Beam's electric scooter users in Konkuk University's Seoul campus. The new rates are expected to provide benefits forBeam users in Konkuk University's Seoul campus by lowering the basic fare for unlocking the Beam scooter to KRW 300 and riding per minute to KRW 100.

Beam plans to conduct activities to establish a safe riding and accurate parking culture of electric scooters on campus. The speed limit of Beam scooters in Konkuk University's Seoul campus is to be controlled to 20 km/h. Beam also has designated new 13 virtual dockings at the places with high demand and spacious parking area such as dormitories, student halls, and industry-university cooperative buildings.

Furthermore,Beam will launch a campaign to spread a safe driving and accurate parking culture through periodic online and offline education. Beam is currently planning student-friendly activities such as a Beam Mobility Student ReporterProgram for Konkuk University students and part-time jobs for charging electric scooter batteries on campus.

Beam Mobility is taking the lead in establishing a healthy electric scooter sharing service culture on domestic university campuses, starting with an agreement with the Hanyang Graduate School Student Union in January.
