[29 August 2022] We are thrilled to announce that Beam is now available to the EduCity Iskandar community! EduCity Iskandar is Asia’s first multi-campus education city with 305-acres of universities, higher education institutions, research & development centers, as well as recreational facilities. It’s uniqueness and the first of its kind in Asia positions Beam as a well suited partner offering best-in-Asia shared escooter services for the faculty members and students. 

Wherever we operate, we strive to develop our operations in partnership with the local community. Micromobility must serve the needs of not only the people who use our service, but the people who don't. Only then will it have a sustainable future.

This can’t be more true in a space like a university campus where moving from one faculty to another can be financially burdensome if you’re a student as car & fuel prices continue to increase. Not to mention, parking is quite limited on all campuses. Beam offers a sustainable and affordable mode of transportation, whilst allowing students learning opportunities about micromobility operations.

It's also a Beam Mobility milestone, as our first footprint into the Southern Region of Peninsular Malaysia. We are working towards expanding our footprint throughout the cities of Iskandar Puteri and Johor Bahru and can’t wait for Beam to be at your doorstep!

• Training & Development: Beam will be training and developing young talent in skills and knowledge around operating and maintaining a micromobility business. 
• Beam Safe Academy: A safety program that incorporates an interactive safety quiz and a launch briefing guide for new users. Riders are to complete the in-app safety quiz as our means of self-training on safe-riding etiquette.
• Personal Accident Insurance: Every rider will be covered by Beam’s personal accident insurance.
• Virtual Docking: Fixed ‘virtual’ parking docks will be seen within the app, with riders directed to appropriate parking spots through a combination of guidance, incentives, and disincentives.
