1. 66th Merdeka Promo (“Campaign”) is organised by BEAM Mobility Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (“BEAM”)
2. By participating in this Campaign, all participants (“Participants”) will be deemed to have read, understood and expressly agreed to be bound by the Terms & Conditions of this Campaign as stated herein and any additional terms and conditions stipulated by BEAM (as may be applicable) including the decisions of the BEAM in all matters related thereto.
3. Information on how to enter forms part of these conditions of entry. Registration for and/or participation in this Campaign is deemed as acceptance of these conditions of entry. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is a condition of entry.
4. This Campaign runs from 1 August 2023 00.00 (GMT +8) until 16 September 2023 23:59 (GMT +8) (both dates inclusive) (“Campaign Period”). BEAM reserves the right to amend or extend the duration of the Campaign at any time as they deem fit.
5. To qualify and participate in this Campaign, Participants must fulfill the following requirements (“Campaign Requirements”):
a. Must be an existing User (as defined in https://www.ridebeam.com/terms-of-service/malaysia at the point of participation in the Campaign;
b. Perform and follow the instructions listed in the table below and/or as directed on our website or social media channels (“Activities”) during the Campaign to be entitled to:
• RM66 VOUCHERS – Participants must scan the QR code shown in any of the Campaign marketing materials (e.g. posters, social media ads) and then claim the promotional code “MERDEKA66” under the My voucher Tab in the My profile section of the App. The Participants may only claim this promotional code once.
• LUCKY PRIZE - Follow, Take a photo with our Beam Purple Man and share it as post/story on your social account with hashtag #BeamMerdeka66 to stand a chance to win 6 months’ worth of free trip (“Prize”). Only six (6) Participants will be chosen to be awarded with the Prize.
For the avoidance of doubt, every redemption of promotional code “MERDEKA66” would only grant eleven (11) promotion vouchers under the Participants’ account in the BEAM App (each voucher only providing 25% discount capped at RM6.00 off a single redemption on a single trip) (“Campaign Voucher”)
c. Each Campaign Voucher shall be valid only for thirty (30) days from the date of successful redemption of the promotional code “MERDEKA66” by the Participants.
d. All Campaign Vouchers are only applicable for trips in the state of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur (Not applicable for trips within relevant university grounds).
e. At the end of the Campaign Period, Participants may be contacted by BEAM via email or any other mode deemed appropriate in relation to the Prize. If there is no response from the Participants after two (2) weeks from our attempt to contact the Participant, BEAM shall have the absolute discretion to select another Participant to become the winner.
6. Only Participants that fulfil the Campaign Terms and Conditions and Campaign Requirements shall be eligible to receive the Campaign Voucher and the Prizes. Participants that fail to fulfil the Campaign Terms and Conditions and Campaign Requirements will automatically be disqualified from the Campaign without notice.
7. BEAM reserves the absolute right to substitute and/or replace the Campaign Voucher and/or the Prize from time to time without any prior notice to the Participants.
8. BEAM further reserve their right to use any collected personal data, in accordance with the BEAM’s respective Privacy Policy at https://www.ridebeam.com/privacy-policy/english, in any manner and/or for any purpose related to this Campaign and the Participants are deemed to consent to such use with no monetary payment.
9. BEAM reserves the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any Participant and/or to forfeit the Campaign Voucher and/or the Prize if BEAM reasonably believe that the Participant has undertaken any fraudulent practices or activities or other activities harmful to this Campaign or to BEAM.
10. Participants may be contacted, at any time deemed appropriate by BEAM, via e-mail or any other mode of communication deemed appropriate by BEAM.
11. The Campaign Vouchers and the Prize are not exchangeable and/or transferable and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
12. BEAM reserves the absolute right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Campaign with or without any prior notice and/or assigning any reason. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination, or suspension by BEAM shall not entitle the Participants to any claim or compensation against BEAM for any and/or all losses or damages suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
13. BEAM accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, corrupted or misdirected submission whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction or otherwise.
14. BEAM, subsidiaries, affiliates, and associated companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Campaign, the Campaign Vouchers and/or Prize (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
15. The Terms and Conditions contained herein shall prevail over any inconsistent terms, conditions, provisions or representation contained in any other promotional or advertising materials for the Campaign.
16. BEAM reserves the absolute right to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions (wholly or in part) from time to time without prior notice to the Participants.
17. All and any expenses associated with this Campaign such as transportation and accommodation (if applicable) shall be solely borne by the Participants.
18. These Terms and Conditions may be translated into other languages. In the event of inconsistencies between these Terms and Conditions and the translated versions, the English version shall prevail.
19. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
