Eligibility:

The Beam Loyalty Program is open to certain select customers who reside in Australia and New Zealand ("Eligible Riders").

Points Accumulation & Expiry:

If you're an Eligible Rider, you will earn 1 point for every minute you ride on one of our vehicles in cities across Australia and New Zealand where the BeamStars Loyalty Program is active (as indicated to you within the Beam app), on an ordinary pay-per-ride basis (i.e., NOT as part of a multi-day 'pass' or subscription and not on corporate-subsidized rides). Points accumulate during each calendar quarter, i.e., 3-month periods starting on the first day of January, April, July, and October (GMT + 12 in Australia, and GMT + 10 in New Zealand) each year (each a ‘Cycle’) before resetting to zero.

Entitlements to Discounts:

When, within any Cycle, your points reach a certain threshold (i.e., 50, 300, and 600 points respectively), you reach the associated 'tier' entitling you to that tier-associated discount (i.e., 10%, 15%, and 25% respectively) on the standard fee charged for ordinary pay-per-rides (again not on multi-day passes/subscription or corporate-subsidized rides). You'll get that tier-associated discount until you reach a higher tier during the same Cycle (triggering a higher discount). The tier you are on at the end of the Cycle is the tier you will be on at the start of the next Cycle (meaning you will get those tier-associated discounts on all your pay-per-rides during the next Cycle]. Of course, the points you accumulate (or not) by the end of the next Cycle will determine your tier and associated discount in the Cycle thereafter.

Beam reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Beam Loyalty Program at any time on reasonable prior notice. If you have any questions about the program, please contact Beam customer support.

1. What is the BeamStars Loyalty Program?

   BeamStars is a tier-based loyalty program, offering great discounts off your trips the more you ride! Riders can progress through four membership tiers (Bronze Star, Silver Star, Gold Star and Mega Star) by earning Points for every pay-per-minute ride they take.

2. How do I enroll in the BeamStars Loyalty Program?

   We are gradually introducing BeamStars across the region. You will be automatically enrolled when it’s your turn, as long as you have a valid Beam account.

3. How do I earn Beam Points?

   Beam Points are earned when you take eligible rides on the Beam platform. You will earn one Beam Point for every pay-per-minute ride.

4. What are the perks for each BeamStars tier?

   Riders can earn greater discounts off their trips the more they ride. Details on the qualifying criteria and discounts can be found on the Beam app once you’ve been enrolled into the program.

5. When do my Points expire?

   Beam Points are reset at the end of every Points Cycle, which happens on 31 March, 30 June, 30 September, and 31 December (GMT +12 in Australia, GMT+10 in New Zealand).

6. It’s the middle of a Points Cycle and I’ve earned enough points for an upgrade. When will that occur?

   If you have accumulated enough Points to be eligible for an upgrade to the next tier, you will automatically be upgraded.

7. Can I earn Beam Points for free minutes under subscriptions?

   No, you cannot earn Beam Points for free minutes under subscriptions.

8. Can I transfer my Beam Points to another Beam rider?

   No, Beam Points are non-transferable.

9. What happens if I do not earn enough Beam Points to maintain my current membership tier at the end of a Points Cycle?

   If you do not earn enough Beam Points to maintain your current membership tier at the end of a Points Cycle, you will be downgraded to the corresponding lower membership tier.

10. Can I use my Beam Points to pay for rides?

    No, Beam Points cannot be redeemed for cash or used to pay for rides directly. Instead, Beam Points can be used to qualify for higher membership tiers, which in turn unlock discounts for future pay-per-minute rides.
