Beam Korea makes a MOU with the Hanyang Graduate School Student Union to improve PM accessibility and safety in the campus

Beam, Asia Pacific’s largest micromobility operator, announced that it has made amemorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Hanyang Graduate School StudentUnion on e-scooter operation in Hanyang University Seoul Campus.

At the MOU ceremony held at the Hanyang University Student Council Hall, Beam Korea General Manager Kang Heesu and Hanyang Graduate School Student Union representatives attended to agree on mutual cooperation on items including user convenience improvements and traffic safety securement of Beam’s e-scooters in the university grounds.

Through the MOU,Beam Korea provides a special discount for its e-scooter users in Hanyang University Seoul Campus, and will designate parking spots along with a speed limit of 20km/h - equivalent to the speed limit of the school - to establish parking order and secure traffic safety in the campus. Beam added that this partnership will be an opportunity for the e-scooter users in the campus to experience the convenience of personal mobility.

It is great to have an alliance with a student union from a profound university such as Hanyang University as the first university-related partner in Korea, and Beam will strive for more partnerships in diverse industries for better user-convenience and safety”, said Kang.

Meanwhile, Beam and the student union will conduct regular online and offline education programs to prevent traffic accidents and promote ways to safely use personal mobility devices to users in Hanyang University Seoul Campus.
